How do I benefit as a MICCA Volunteer?
MICCA volunteers receive a reduced registration fee of $85.00. The standard registration is $150.00 for the 2009 MICCA Conference.
What do I do as a volunteer?
MICCA Volunteers provide assistance during the MICCA Conference for a half-day. Volunteer assignments include, but are not limited to the following:
- Work at the MICCA/ISTE Bookstore
- Answer phones and questions at the MICCA Headquarters office
- Distribute favors and collect evaluations at the MICCA Booth
- Ticket and store presenter equipment in the MICCA Presenters Lounge
- Greet conference attendees, provide directions, and answer questions
- Assist with the Promising Practices presentation area
- Preside over Concurrent Session Areas
- Preside over Workshops
What do I need to do to become a MICCA Volunteer?
In order to volunteer, please go to the secure login area and complete a volunteer application. Do not register for the conference until you have been notified of your acceptance as a volunteer. All volunteer requests will be reviewed on a weekly basis and an email will be sent to you informing you whether or not you have been accepted as a volunteer and if so, how to proceed to register and receive the reduced rate. All conference volunteers will be notified of their job assignments at least two weeks prior to the conference.
