MICCA Higher Education Special Interest Group

What Is SIGHE?

SIGHE is the Special Interest Group for Institutes of Higher Education of MICCA. The primary focus of SIGHE is to support professionals responsible for providing teaching and learning experiences, and conducting and sharing research and policies that emphasize effective use of educational technologies that impact both preservice and inservice teachers.

The MICCA Higher Education Special Interest Group helps promote awareness of the MICCA mission, program, and schedule of activities to Maryland Institutes of Higher Education (IHE), increases participation by IHE in MICCA initiatives and shares with MICCA membership initiatives, research and resources offered through IHE.

MICCA SIGHE serves to develop materials and activities involving members of the higher education community working in educational technology, to include faculty, undergraduate and graduate students. SIGHE provides a forum for members to share research and successes, raise questions, and meet the challenge of helping other professionals use technology to enhance learning and education.
